Providing Safe Shelter for Widows
For many widows in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, a home that should provide safety and comfort has become a source of hardship. Years of exposure to harsh weather, aging materials, and limited financial resources have left many homes with damaged or collapsing roofs, exposing families to rain, wind, and the elements.
The Gloria and Rosie Charity Foundation is committed to restoring hope by repairing and replacing damaged roofs and the supporting structures of widows' homes. These improvements provide more than just a roof—they restore safety, dignity, security, and peace of mind.
Today, because of the generosity of our donors and partners, many widows now have a strong and secure covering over their heads. They can sleep without fear of rain pouring into their homes, knowing they are protected from the elements.
We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. By restoring these homes, we are restoring hope and demonstrating God's love through practical acts of compassion.
"The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow..." — Psalm 146:9
Every repaired roof is more than a construction project—it is a reminder that these widows are loved, valued, and never forgotten.
